Badhaai Ho, Namaste England Box-Office Collection, Day 3: Ayushmann Khurrana-Sanya Malhotra Leave Arjun Kapoor- Parineeti Chopra Far Behind
The makers of Badhaai Ho are on cloud nine. After having collected Rs 7.25 crore on Day 1 and jumping to Rs 11.75 crore on Day 2, the film has now further accelerated and made Rs 12.25 crore on Saturday. With the fantastic word-of-mouth the film has, it won't be long before it crosses the Rs 50 crore mark at the box-office. The film's total collection now stands at Rs 31.25 crore.

SpotboyE.com editor Vickey Lalwani rated Badhaai Ho with 2.5 stars and wrote, “Why can't middle-aged couples have and enjoy sex? Why assume that the sex life of couples ends when their kids grow up? Why can't a couple have a baby if they are in their late 40s? Frankly, we don't think that. In fact, most of us don't. But maybe Badhaai Ho director Amit Sharma (who earlier helmed Tevar) is one of the minority who does, and so weaves his thoughts into a screenplay which is as slow as a snail if not more, but interspersed with situations/dialogues that make you grin--- but God, you have seen them all in the trailer. Yes, ALL the funny moments were let out in the trailer itself and besides that, you have nothing in those 2hr 15min to make you laugh-  think of it, isn't that what you are going to buy your ticket for when it comes to this offering from Priti Shahani of Junglee Pictures.”

At the same time, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra's love story is struggling at the box-office. After opening at Rs 1.50 crore on Day 1 and then improving a tad bit to rake in Rs 2 crore on Day 2, the film has now gone down to Rs 1.25 crore on Saturday. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 4.75 crore. The film will need a great turn out on Sunday in order to register a decent figure for the first weekend at the box-office.

SpotboyE.com editor Vickey Lalwani rated Namaste England with 2 stars and wrote, “Well, well, well. Now, we know why Akshay Kumar didn't do Namaste England. The sincere and hardworking Arjun Kapoor too, who was so good in Ki & Ka, Finding Fanny and Ishaqzaade, should have dodged this bullet. Ditto for Parineeti Chopra, who put in such spunky performances in Ishaqzaade, Shuddh Desi Romance and Hasee Toh Phasee. What magical wand did Vipul Shah carry to this duo that made them agree to a film with rustic locations, poor dialogues and inexplicable actions?”
